Why Sexual Assault Victims Have Trouble Coming Forward

The hardest things for a victim of rape is admitting to being raped, getting others to believe, and of course moving on with life. Many victims of sexual assault are terrified to come forward because they think their peers will judge them or they simply don't know what to do and who to talk to. Often some victims have trouble with getting certain school officials to believe , discouraging them to come forward. In some cases they may even take the side of the suspect to protect the school. School officials on every college campus should be open and considerate of everyone victim to sexual assaults, and maybe more victims would want to seek help.
