Taho is a mix of soft and warm silky tofu, some sago pearls, and a bit of sweetener. Sounds delicious, right?

Let's ease you in with a nice refreshing snack. Would you try taho?

Ready? Bagoong is a concoction which is basically shrimp or fish that’s been fermented with a ton of salt, usually for one to three months, then fried.

OK, how about a nice big serve of bagoong on an unripened mango?

This street food may look innocent enough, but that wavy pattern is actually pig (or chicken) intestine woven on the stick. But don't worry, they're cleaned a few times before they're grilled!

Everyone loves BBQ meat. Would you go for a bit of isaw?

Adidas are basically just grilled chicken feet. They got their name from the chicken toes kind of looking like, you guessed it, the Adidas logo.

OK, so maybe the intestines were a bit much. But how about gnawing on a few Adidas?

Um... I have no other way to say this. Betamax is grilled coagulated blood. Yep. It's coagulated pork (or chicken) blood that's barbecued. Plus, it has a texture pretty similar to liver!

If chicken isn't your flavour, you can always have some betamax. Would you try it?

This dish looks like it's the same colour as betamax, right? That's because it's pig's blood soup. But it gets better! It's full of offal cuts so you can expect to find EVERYTHING in dinuguan: snout, intestines, heart, lungs. You know what they say! Waste not, want not.

That's enough of the grilled snacks. Would you try a bowl of dinuguan?

This innocent-looking dish is full of pork parts. But... those parts are mainly from the pig's head and liver. Sisig is normally served on a sizzling plate with calamansi (similar to a lemon) and a raw egg dolloped in the middle. Yum, yum!

Maybe the blood is a bit much. How about washing it all down with a plate of sisig?

Soup number five sounds pretty innocent, right? Well, it is... if you don't think about what's in it. Some say the soup is named that because it’s main ingredients are a bull’s “fifth leg”. Yep, the main ingredient is a bull’s dick and balls. ;)

You must be stuffed! How about something light? Would you try a bowl of soup number five?

Sure, tamilok may look like the inside of your tissue after you blow your nose, but it's actually wood worms. The worms are ripped out of rotting mangroves and are served fresh and raw. Delicious!

OK, OK, not everyone likes soup. But would you slurp up some raw tamilok?

One of the Philippines' most infamous wtf foods is balut, a boiled, fertilised duck egg. So you've basically got all the ~juices~ inside the developing egg aka the amniotic fluid, the yolk you're used to, and the three-week-old duck embryo. Mmmm, yum!

And lastly, for a snack on the go, would you crack open some balut?
