The show will premiere July 16 on HBO.

The highly anticipated trailer begins with a Cersei Lannister voiceover, detailing the adversaries she faces from the east, west, south, and north.

"We're the last Lannisters," she says, as her brother Jaime looks on at his sister, who's seated upon the Iron Throne. "The last ones who count."

Afterward, Daenerys is introduced and from the looks of it, she's more determined than ever to fight for what she believes she deserves: to rule Westeros.

Jon Snow — who some believe may actually be a Targaryen, and thus one of the people who could also claim a right to sit upon the Iron Throne — is shown surrounded by the people of Winterfell.

We're also given glimpses of Theon, Melisandre, and Arya...

...and Ser Davos who urges someone to put "enmities" aside and come together, presumably in order to defeat the biggest evil in all of this — the White Walkers.

The Great War is finally upon us, and it looks like it's going to be absolutely thrilling.
