10. Sonya Blade

An original roster member from the very first iteration of the game, Sonya introduced a special agent female that could absolute wreck her adversaries. Brutal and polarizing, the ruler of Outworld possesses some of the most powerful attacks that the roster has ever known. Whether you're pulling off an insane combo that destroys your enemy completely or you're smashing them with your hammer, it's always a treat to get to play as such an incredible villain. Shao Kahn only has a minor role in Mortal Kombat 11 compared to some of his other inclusions throughout the series, so lets hope that the creators have something much bigger in mind for Kahn in future installments.

The brash and cocky movie star can often be abrasive, but despite his personality he remains one of the very best kickboxers that the series has included. His green forceball and sliding kick are highlights from his arsenal, and his big spotlight inclusion in Mortal Kombat X and Mortal Kombat 11 show that the series still has plenty of use for the fan-favorite.

5. Raiden

With the ability to summon lightning and dart across the arena, Raiden has been a staple among the series since the very first game. Despite having some hard-to-use combos, Raiden often deals very high damage and can be found being used by most gamers as they master the series.
