Ranking The Heroes & Villains In Star Wars Battlefront 2

The following list will rank all of the heroes and villains in Star Wars Battlefront 2 based on their abilities, gameplay, and mobility.

19. Yoda

A horrible display of the greatness that is Jedi Master Yoda, Battlefront 2 instead displays Yoda as a minor annoyance to most villains. He's easy to damage, and his lightsaber strikes just don't deal enough damage to make him a priority over choosing great characters like Obi-Wan, Luke, or Anakin. In addition to the aforementioned flaws, his Push ability also doesn't feel as powerful as it should. All in all, Yoda is a major disappointment from a gameplay perspective and one of the bottom tier heroes in the game.

18. Finn

One of the weakest characters added to the game post-launch, Finn has still managed to develop a small fan-base of gamers that applaud him for his great supporting abilities such as the squad heal. In comparison to other Heroes that use blasters such as Han, Leia, and Chewbacca, Finn just doesn't carry that same damaging blaster strike as the others and it's hard to pick him over so many other great characters.

17. Captain Phasma

While her droid and even her melee strikes with her staff can be useful, many users find it hard to pick her over some of the other available villains. Her blaster hits deal a healthy enough amount of damage to keep her off of the bottom of this list, but hopeful she can receive a buff in the near-future.

16. General Grievous

Added to the game during the Geonosis DLC with Obi-Wan, General Grievous has largely been considered a disappointment due to his slow and limited mobility and strikes. He can still manage to provide players with a powerful and damaging attack, and his Crawl ability is something most users consider a helpful skills. However, in comparison to his Sith counterparts and even Obi-Wan himself, Grievous is not on their level in terms of gameplay.

15. Lando Calrissian

Lando contains a deadly combination of quick-firing abilities and a smoke grenade to either catch and enemy off-guard or flee to heal. His limited health bar can be a burden when going up against some of the more powerful enemies such as Kylo Ren or Darth Vader, but Lando remains fun to play as and its a delight seeing users pair him up on the battlefield with Han Solo.

14. Emperor Palpatine

One of the hardest character to get the hang of, Emperor Palpatine can be a chore to play as. Starting out, you'll constantly feel under-powered or at a disadvantage against other plays. On the plus side, once you become more experienced with Palpatine and level him up, you'll have one of the best support characters for your team as he deals a high amount of damage with his lightning strikes despite their limited range.

13. Bossk

With his potent grenades and thermal vision-enhanced grenade launch, Bossk is a joy to play as in game modes such as Galactic Assault and Heroes Vs. Villains. What holds him back from being placed higher on the list is him limited health amount and slow-to-fire rifle. Enemies using characters such as Luke or Anakin typically have no problem taking Bossk out in quick fashion.

12. Chewbacca

Chewbacca deals some of the most damaging hits thanks to his bow-caster and his melee attacks are equally as punishing. Add in his stun-grenade, and you have a character who is very well-balanced. His additional health advantage also makes him one of the more desirable characters to play as across all game modes.

11. Princess Leia

Often overlooked for whatever reason, Leia deals an extremely high amount of damage with each blaster hit and even contains an ability that allows your blaster hit to become unblockable by a user with a lightsaber. He dome shield also can provide you and your friends a sense of safety and a place to heal during battle, making her one of the most helpful characters in the game.

10. Boba Fett

One of the few characters who were also featured in EA's Battlefront 1, Boba Fett is placed so highly on this list due to his ability to flee a battle or gain a great vantage point over enemies using his jet-pack. His blaster hits also deal a healthy amount of damage, with his rocket barrage being extremely punishing on enemies in the heat of battle. Pound for pound, Boba Fett is one of the best characters to use in Battlefront 2 regardless of game mode.

9. Darth Maul

A fan-favorite, Darth Maul possesses some of the quickest striking attacks in Battlefront 2. He also joins Darth Vader as the only two characters to have a lightsaber throw ability in their arsenals. His most destructive and help ability is his force grip ability where he will lift all enemies in front of him, choke them, and then throw them backwards. On maps with edges and cliffs, this ability can wipe out entire squads and drives people crazy in the Heroes Vs. Villains game mode.

8. Obi-Wan Kenobi

One of the most-hyped additions to the game since its launch, Obi-Wan brings a well-balanced mix of defensive abilities and good lightsaber combat. His force push and own variation of the mind-trick can help either create space in conflict or gain the upper-hand over an enemy, and his mix of quick lightsaber strikes and health regeneration make him an easy-to-desire character to play as in-game.

7. Rey

Rey is often overlooked by many gamers due to her passive abilities. However, once you realize how to incorporate her abilities into an aggressive play-style that benefits how you play, she is by far one of the best heroes in the game. Her mind-trick ability in particular can send a wave of opponents in a dizzying daze, and is extremely useful in modes such as Galactic Assault and Heroes Vs. Villains.

6. Count Dooku

Count Dooku is the only other character on this list that has use to in-game force lightning other than Emperor Palpatine, but what draws most users towards Dooku is his insane lightsaber abilities. In one on one situations while using Dooku, you will be able to handle most opponents due to the sheer damage and quickness that he strikes with.

5. Han Solo

Despite having a low health amount and unable to defensively protect yourself, choosing Han Solo allows users to have access to what may be the most damaging aggressive player. His blaster deals a ton of damage per hit, and his grenade will either stun or send enemies flying all over the place while also dealing significant blows to their health bar. He even has a shoulder charge ability that can be used to create space between you and your opponents. Once you master Han, you can enjoy a significant advantage over most players.

4. Luke Skywalker

Luke Skywalker is the owner of some of the best in-game force abilities thanks to his Push and Repulse. These abilities allow users to send enemies flying either across the map, or completely off of it in some cases. Couple these two abilities with his lightsaber rush, and Luke is among the more balanced characters that the series has to offer in terms of pure gameplay.

3. Kylo Ren

Stamina issues aside, when using Kylo Ren you can quickly turn the tide of battle in your favor thanks to his ulta-quick and deadly lightsaber attacks. While he doesn't do as much damage per strike as someone like Count Dooku or Darth Vader, Kylo's frenzy ability allows him to swifty move through attacks from one opponent to another. His Pull and Freeze abilities also are among the gaming communities favorite force powers in-game as they can be used aggressively or defensively to ensure that you always have the upper-hand in combat.

2. Darth Vader

By far the most powerful attacker from the Villains side, Darth Vader has an incredible amount of health from the start of the match and can single-handedly wipe out enemies in one on one situations due to his powerful lightsaber attacks. He joins Darth Maul as the only two characters in-game that can throw their sabers, although Vader has a much more deadly strike. He can also freeze and damage multiple enemies at once using his force choke ability. All in all, Darth Vader remains one of the most formidable opponents to go up against.

1. Anakin Skywalker

Arguably possessing the most powerful lightsaber strikes from the Heroes side along with an incredible array of force abilities, users who find themselves playing as The Chosen One can usually expect themselves to wind up near the top of the leaderboards each back. Anakin is hard to match in a one on one fight, with very few Villains being able to get the upperhand in a close-range engagement. The real advantage that Anakin has over his allies in the Heroes column is his insane amount of health, being the only character that rivals Darth Vader's health gauge in the game.
