    1. Early or late summer are always the best timing

    Early or late summer is always the best time to buy a ticket for a far cheaper price. Many people find that they are unable to travel early summer due to school or work commitments. Few people also choose to travel during late summer as people continue on their study or work. Research from Hopper.com found that June is the most popular month for European travel, with prices peaking at the end of July. However, some of the lowest prices can be found in the first half of May and the last week and a half of August.

    2. Fly to a airline hub city

    Regardless if you are travelling to a rural area, it is always cheaper to fly to a main airport and then may subsequent travel arrangements such as taking a train or a bus to your more rural location this will have the effect of saving you some serious money (see diagram below) this is due to major cities having an airline hub, more traffic, more flights and therefore more discounted fares.     One other helpful tip is to search flights with your browser set to private, you may not know this but the more frequently you check the flight or refresh the page, the more the price of your soon to book flight will increase. While you are searching for the cheapest price, all booking sites are simultaneously recording your web browsing data and some use this information to raise prices when you’re interested in a flight. Thus, If you clear your web browsing data (known as a cache), there’s a chance that the flight may reduce to its original price.
