1. She's fearless

Let's face it - Margo is the unfiltered, brazen friend of your group you wish you could be. She says exactly what's on her mind and means it. As The Magicians progresses, we're becoming more privy to Margo's flawed complexities. Yes, she may harbor some fear beneath the surface, but in my eyes she's still the most fearless former High King to roam Fillory and further.

2. She stomps on the patriarchy

Remember in Season 2 when Margo ruled with an iron fist in Fillory? Yes, she ruled in tandem with her best friend Eliot, but since Fillory is perpetually stuck in the 1950s when it comes to societal norms, the latter had more of a voice. Margo had to exert twice as much energy to make herself heard. Oh, and remember when Lorian royal Prince Ess assumed our girl was a virgin? Patriarchal assumptions and archaic marriage practices at their finest.

3. She's intelligent

You don't get to be High King of Fillory without some brains to match your magical brawn. Margo found a way to step out of Eliot's shadow as ruler at Castle Whitespire, even if part of her strategy was inadvertently cavort with a talking Bear. Margo is very adept at reading people, and possesses immense "street smarts." She knows when she's being lied to, and knows how to keep people in line. Not to mention, you have to harbor a modicum of intelligence to be a magician, since so much math is involved when casting spells. Ick. Math.

4. Her fashion sense is unparalleled

Seriously, do you know any fictional character with a better sense of style than Margo? Or real-life human, for that matter? The answer, friends, is a resounding "no." Margo's intricately detailed High King Fillorian garb is to die for, as well as her street threads. And, despite her relegation from High King to commoner in Season 4, Margo could make a potato sack look fashionable.

5. One word: axes

Folks - meet Sorrow and Sorrow, Margo's newest additions to her battle arsenal. If you'll recall, Margo snagged these formidable babies while on her quest in Season 4 by, once again, smashing a patriarchal society and freeing the women from under the dominant male thumb. If I were her, I'd carry these with me everywhere.

6. Her snarky one-liners

Margo may have the most iconic one-liners in television history. Never has a human being been capable of cutting someone down to size with a few razor-sharp words. Whether they're her sworn enemies or her best buds, Margo has a couple choice words for everyone. She doesn't discriminate.

7. Her heart of gold

Now, Margo is most known for her formidable presence and bold facade. However, if you peel back those multi-faceted layers you'll find a heart of gold within. A soft, mushy and gooey center. Just like chocolate truffles! Her epic quest in Season 4 revealed a new side of her we hadn't seen previously - an unsure, jaded and fearful Margo. Margo possesses a deep love for her friends and would sacrifice everything for their safety. She genuinely cares about others despite her tough exterior. You get Margo on your side and you'll have a battle buddy for life.

8. Her love for Eliot

Name a more iconic duo...I'll wait. These two have been through thick and thin together. While their relationship is merely platonic, Margo and Eliot are soulmates. Pure, unadulterated life partners. Margo would travel to the end of the universe and beyond for Eliot, and vice versa. Their friendship is admirable, and not something you see regularly on television. Margo fought tooth and nail to save Eliot in Season 4, and I wholeheartedly believe Eliot would have done the same if the roles were reversed.

9. She's a badass magician

At Brakebills, Margo was classified as a Physical magician, taking up shelter at the Physical Kids' cottage on campus. Her magic deals with matter and energy, and she also possesses a specialty in Cryomancy. Not to mention, Margo is also adept at battle magic, which not everyone can list as a special skill on their resume. In short: our girl knows her shit.

10. She's a loyal friend

Now, I could lump this one in with number seven, but I feel her loyalty deserves its own spot on the list. In Season 4, Margo essentially sacrificed her humanity to save Josh from perishing at the tangible hands of lycanthropy. She teased that she didn't believe she'd live long enough to feel the effects of her newly acquired werewolf curse. Not to mention, she underwent total banishment from Fillory and relegation from her High King post to save Eliot. If that isn't loyalty, I don't know what is.
