INSTRUCTIONS

Vacuum Seal Hack

1. Place leftover fresh meat or fresh produce inside a Meijer Freezer Bag. Seal tightly almost all the way, leaving the last inch unsealed.

2. Carefully lower the bag into a large pot of water. This allows the water pressure to push air out of the bag.

3. Right before the bag goes fully underwater, seal the small opening so the entire bag is now closed.

4. Remove the bag from the water and dry the outside of the bag.

5. Place in freezer. This technique helps reduce freezer burn and keeps storage life of food even longer.

Sponge Ice Packs

1. Take each sponge and soak in a bowl of water.

2. Place each sponge inside its own Meijer Sandwich Bag. Seal tightly.

3. Freeze overnight.

4. Take out of freezer and use to pad a cooler to keep drinks and food cold.

Keeping Herbs Fresh

1. Holding a fresh bunch of tender herbs, trim off the bases of the stems.

2. Fill up a mason jar with at least 1 inch of water, and place in herbs.

3. Open a Meijer Sandwich Bag and gently place over the herbs. Secure the bag to the mason jar by closing the seal around it.

4. Change the water every few days. Herbs can stay fresh up to 2 weeks.

Longer Lasting Lemons Grill Cleaning Hack

1. Place fresh lemons inside Meijer Freezer Bag. Seal tightly and refrigerate. Lemons stay fresh up to a month.

2. Before grilling, cut a lemon in half. Press one half into a plate of coarse salt.

3. Rub lemon half over grill grate. The combination of acidity and salt help scrub away grease.

Break Apart Burger Patties

1. Place meat inside 1 Meijer Freezer Bag. Gently seal the bag then gently knead the mixture inside the bag until combined well. Fully seal the bag.

2. Use a rolling pin to equally level the mixture inside the bag, so all sides are filled.

3. Take a ruler and score the bag into 3 rows and 3 columns, to make 9 equal squares.

4. Freeze.

5. Whenever you are ready to use, break the squares up and heat up on a medium-high grill, for 4–6 minutes per side.

6. Enjoy!
