I know you're probably thinking, "Halloween's not even over yet, and you wanna talk about the holidays???" But this year, more than ever, it actually makes a lot of sense to start shopping for gifts ASAP!

As Wired reported earlier this week, supply shortages and shipping and production delays could mean that common gifts like gadgets, toys, and even books (!!!) may be in short supply this holiday season. Plus, if you spread your shopping over a couple of months instead of panic-buying gifts at the last minute, it can make the holidays less stressful *and* a little bit easier on the old budget.
