1. You are building a school to help children earn an education

This is the Marina Yolanda Melendez school in Santa Rita, Yoro Honduras we helped build during our winter trip.

We learned how to make empanadas at a local family's home. Who also provide us with a fresh lunch everyday.

4. Build bonds while working together as a cohesive team

While making and mixing cement for the bricks to build the walls, we also built friendships with all the volunteers.

5. Help a community improve their education system

This is the Villa Soleada Bilingüe school. Some of the kids in the village attend school here. In Honduras it is easier to find a job if you can speak both English and Spanish.

6. Experience a new culture

Try new foods, learn some Spanish and also learn how to play caged soccer. Soccer is a big sport in Honduras!

7. Enjoy a day at the beach in Honduras with SHH

The beautiful and relaxing Tela Beach in Honduras. You can go banana boating, jump off the pier, swim in the ocean and shop at the local stands.

8. Being able to shop at the local Honduran markets

Shopping at the local markets to buy fresh fruits and vegetables. There are many stands to buy hand made bracelets, headbands, purses and keychains.
