Finding a therapist that you like is crucial in your mental health journey, which unfortunately means that you might have to meet with a few bad therapists before you find your perfect fit.
I'm asking the BuzzFeed Community: What made you realize that you needed to break up with your therapist?
Maybe you'd attended a few sessions with a recently new therapist, but kept having to remind them of things that you said in a previous appointment before you finally realized that they weren't actually listening to what you had to say?
Perhaps your therapist did or said something that made you question your trust in them?
Maybe you'd been seeing your therapist for years and want to make a big lifestyle change, but your therapist kept making you second guess your decisions?
Did you realize that due to their background, they could not relate to you or understand the cultural or social nuance, causing you to look for a therapist who identified more similarly to you?
Or maybe you realized your therapist is an absolute jerk when they used your appointment to try and trash talk a previous client with you?
Whatever it is, tell us below in the comments — or use this anonymous form — and your response could be featured in an upcoming BuzzFeed post.
