Pop The Champagne, Lizzo Is Finally Releasing New Music!

This is for the Editorial Fellowship

After three long years of wishing, hoping, and waiting, Lizzo has finally announced that she has finished working on her new album and I'm pretty sure people can hear my screams of excitement in China. The queen of self-love and body positivity is set to release her upcoming album, featuring her new single "About Damn Time," on April 14, and I'm already counting down the days.

During her appearance on The Late Show With James Corden alongside Gabrielle Union, Lizzo candidly talked about her upcoming album and even played a bit of her upcoming single on vinyl.

In addition to continuing her reign as one of the most influential musicians of this century, Lizzo is also pursuing other ventures. In her interview with Variety last month, she discussed a few of her highly-anticipated projects.

I BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE… 🗣TURN IT UP—This is the greatest moment of my career yet. 😭😭😭😭 Yall ready to laugh, cry, twerk, repeat?! WATCH OUT FOR THE BIG GRRRLS DROPS 3/25 ONLY ON @PrimeVideo

In her interview with Ramin Setoodeh, Lizzo mentioned a deal that she signed with Amazon in August of 2020, which has resulted in the production of an all-new reality TV series Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, set to premiere on March 24, 2022. It was also recently announced that she will both host and act as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live (what they refer to as double duty) on April 16, 2022. I don't know about you, but I'd give my left arm for a ticket.

If Lizzo ran for President, she'd totally have my vote.
