Chances are you're gong to text each other two or three times, and then fall off the face of the earth. It's not that you don't like each other, it's that you have different lives. Matt doesn't hold it against you though, he really enjoyed spending time with you at Carrot and thinks you're really talented and smart and adorable and the best. Remember that one time you saw him walking down the hall and you were like "That Matt is so cool"? Hold that memory. Because I think the same thing about you.   
Anyways, you should probably text matt. or add him Facebook, or send him an email. He'll be the best acquaintance you've ever known.

It's not that you and Matt were very close to begin with, but that's not to say there's still time. You guys have spent a lot of time together at Carrot and have grown to think fondly of one another...but it's easy to lose track of friends isn't it? If you're not too busy maybe you should reach out after he's gone. He'll do the same sometimes. You guys will meet up for beers or coffee every now and then and tell stories and gossip. It'll be cute and fun.

We complete each other and Matt thinks you're the fucking best and so so so talented. But that's only because we sit next to each other. We're going to miss each other a lot and it's going to be so stressful. But we're not far and technology is so cool these days that we can summon each other at any time to daydrink and shoot the shit.

Matt is your best friend and if it wasn't for life you guys would probably be married. But that's not legal in most States and Matt is already practically married. Anyways Matt loved spending time with you at Carrot and can't wait to spend more time with you outside of it, frolicking through the park and singing Madonna together, playing videogames together, going on double dates! Sending each other snapchats! How Cute!
