Coldstone Creamery Stole Art For Their Ads
Adam Ellis, celebrated illustrator and author has had his work traced and used for a Coldstone Creamery ad on Instagram, and very shittily I might add.
Adam Ellis illustrates many cartoons, and some of you might recognize them from many Buzzfeed posts. His artwork has become so popular he has reached over a million followers on his Instagram. @adamtots
This just speaks to me.
Is it even a shower if my flesh doesn’t melt off?
Forget the haters, cause somebody loves ya.
Today, Adam shared on his Instagram that a Coldstone Creamery in India used a traced version of his illustrations in their ad. He posted this just days after sharing a screenshot of an online store selling his t-shirt design.
😒
Like, what is this?
It’s getting worse.
WHY
💀
Since Adam called them out, @coldstoneindia has deleted the ads containing the stolen art. But not before hundreds of @adamtots fans slammed them, unfortunately I have no screenshots before they deleted them. Believe me though, it was brutal.
Adam then shared this on his Instagram.
Coldstone has yet to comment on the matter. Honestly, I think Adam is letting them off easy. The ball is in your court Coldstone. *sips tea*
