A caiman (a crocodilian animal similar to an alligator) was photographed enjoying a moment of zen with nature as it allowed a cluster of large colourful butterflies to settle on its head and body.
You might almost say the caiman is wearing a real-life butterfly crown (a popular Snapchat filter with celebs like Kim Kardashian). The photo, taken in Los Amigos River in southeastern Peru by Mark Cowan, a research scientist, picked up a Special Commendation award in the 2016 Royal Society Publishing photography competition.
The caiman certainly looks ready for a selfie.
So relaxed.
So chill.
