So yesterday night I went to see the new Power Rangers movie (don’t judge) and midway during the movie something happened…

…Given the title of this post, you can probably already guess what happened next, but I’ll explain anyway.

The teenager sitting next to me began loudly chewing on the ice that was in her soda cup.

Literally.

Now, I’ve got legit misophonia, so I regularly have emotional reactions to certain sounds, but this ice chewing thing affected me like no other sound had before.

I honestly had trouble focusing on the movie.

Luckily it only lasted for about five minutes, but the sound of someone chewing on the ice is now seared into my memory.

TBH, it was difficult getting to sleep last night.

But then again, I often have insomnia so I can’t necessarily attribute that to the ice chewing.

And that bring me to where I am today: Sitting in front of a laptop, wondering how the rest of the world feels about chewing on ice.
