More Painfully Awful Roommates: Penn State Edition

In wake of the viral roommate situation that unfolded in Happy Valley, the question had to be answered...is this a common thing? And sadly my friends... yes. yes. it is.

"My roommate would constantly bring guys back after I fell asleep so more than once I would wake up to her faking orgasms and when I finally confronted her she screamed at me and told me I had never struggled in my life and that it's her room so she could do whatever"

"My roommate peed on Sig Nu's floor then a week later flooded our hall by throwing a timberland shoe that miraculously hit a pipe in the hallway...I had to file a police report at 3 in the morning when I had an 8 am exam."

4. One Uklele and An Irish Goodbye

"She would lay on the floor practically naked with her boyfriend as they played the ukulele... they did a lot of drugs."

Then after that one didn't work out.

"The second one was super quiet to the point that that she didn't tell me she wasn't coming back for the second semester. She did leave a note though- so I guess there's that."

"My roommate and I didn't get along at all, we spent the last 3 months we lived together not speaking- that's 100% not an exaggeration we did not talk, we went about our business and pretended the other side of the room didn't exist. She meant to text her friend one time complaining about me but actually texted me "accidentally".

She moved out after the first semester (thank god) but then during Greek Week in the spring, she and her friends crashed our social at phi who and her friends came up to me and told me to stay away from her (even though it was our social....but ok) and then as I was leaving the social her friend poured an entire beer all over me, so as I walked out i threw the rest of my drink in my roommates face (she started it)"

6. Practically a Hostage Crisis

"My roommate broke up with her boyfriend and he sat outside our room screaming and crying and banging on the door and my roommate wouldn't let me leave the room because she was scared he would get in so I sat in the living room of our suite for like 8 hours listening to him scream 'please let me in! please!!'"

7. Custody Battle

"After we had problems with her bringing random men back given any random day in the week, she decided to suggest we share the room. I could have the room Sunday-Wednesday, and she would have it Thursday-Saturday. But insisted that this was ok since I got it more days! I moved out second semester"

8. PSA: Do not throw artwork at a door

"My roommate was psychotic and absolutely just gross. She left dirty dishes in the sink and let food in the fridge go bad until I was the one who threw it out. She didn't take the trash out.

One morning she was up at 7 A.M. screaming at her mom on the phone and I came out of my room (mind you I was sound asleep) and politely asked her to shut her door. She came at me screaming and decided to throw my paintings I purchased at my door. This caused a huge hole to form and we were charged $250 to replace it.

Then even after the year was over, she accused me of stealing her speakers when I came up during the summer for Artsfest. She blamed me so much on me, that I had a cop call me on my way home the Sunday morning after the weekend.

OH, she almost threw a big mason jar filled with water at my head. And proceeded to tell me I had no right to be there and it was her apartment and I don't even pay for except neither does she, her parents do. She seriously was crazy!"
