Why "Get Out" Was Made For White People

People are actually calling "Get Out" anti-white and it is so freaking annoying.

When I first saw trailers for “Get Out”, it made it’s way to the top of my must-see list. As a white woman dating a black man, and an avid horror and suspense fan, I knew this film would be right up my alley.

If you haven’t seen it already, the premise of Get Out focuses on a black man (Chris) who is lured into his white girlfriend’s (Rose) parent’s home for what he thinks is a weekend to get to know her family, that turns into a racist nightmare that could trap him there for good.

The film directed by Jordan Peele was created specifically to show the social horrors of being a black man in a racist America. The many memes that followed the films premiere center around the masked racism of Rose and the hypnotic antics of her mother poke fun at distrusting white females.

Get Out got me messed up. My mom starting stirring her tea and I ran out the kitchen like this

Raised by a black father and a white mother, racial discussions weren’t uncommon in my house growing up. So it shocked me when a few friends asked me if I was uncomfortable going to the theatre to see this film with my boyfriend.

Because of these memes and the content of the film, my friends asked, “Aren’t you worried people will judge you?” “Won’t it be awkward to see a movie with your boyfriend that is encouraging him not to trust you?” And that’s when I lost it.

What they, and many other white people, don’t understand is that this film was not made for black people. Yes black people will be able to relate to it, but I believe this film was made to wake up white America.

Some people have gone as far as calling this film anti-white and that claiming Peele hates white people because he made a film that overtly demonstrates white racism in a modern world.

The awful excuse for a movie get out is a pos with no name actors to top off a racist anti white movie pushing a lefty narrative and agenda.

The fears and horrors Chris experiences in this film are things that black people have experienced, or will experience, at some point in their life – if not everyday. These are not things white people experience. Not to say that white people don’t experience racism, but they don’t experience it the way black people do.

"Get Out" is purposefully trying to educate white people of how scary it is to be black in America and that this country still has a lot of race issues.

So if you're white and haven’t seen “Get Out” in public because your worried that fellow movie goers will look at you differently when you walk out of the theatre, my advice to you is this: you are the reason this film was made. Get out of the “sunken place” that is racist white America and expose yourself to another culture’s fears and social injustices.

If you think the Get out was an "Anti-White" movie you obviously didn't get the message.
