Let's break this down: Is it the worst movie I've ever seen? No. Is it the best? No. As a shameless lover of Cinderella story films, I have some pretty high expectations, and quite frankly, "If The Shoe Fits" was disappointing. The narrator was over-the-top and the whole "blonde wig to make me look famous" cliche, was just annoying.

In every Cinderella Story movie, I get incredibly bothered by the same damn thing. The scene at the ball (or high school dance) where Cinderella puts on a dress and a mask and everyone says OH MY GOD I HAVE NO IDEA WHO THAT PERSON IS even though she's never disguised well. This movie frustrated me the most in this instance, because even with a mask Selena Gomez looked exactly the same. I know I shouldn't complain about this trope because it was written so long ago, but come on guys.

First let me say, I freaking love this movie. I love that Freddie Stroma (Cormac McLaggen from Harry Potter) plays the love interest, and I love Lucy Hale as Cinderella. The movie also has some serious bops like "Knockin'" and "Bless Myself" which almost make me forget about the main issue with the film... the cultural appropriation. The dance in the movie has an "Arabian Nights" theme and with a bunch of white people dancing around in mildly offensive outfits, it's hard to miss the racism.

This should come as no surprise, this movie is an absolute classic. With Chad Michael Murray AND Hilary Duff, this is one for the ages. Again, I have some qualms, specifically that no one recognizes Hilary even though once again, she is very poorly disguised- but the movie is iconic nonetheless.
