Move Over Ben From "Parks And Rec", I Recreated Timothée Chalamet's "Statistics" Music Video With Stop-Motion Lego And It's Too Good

No Lego was harmed in the making of this video.

For those who don't know, back in high school Timothée Chalamet created a video for his statistics class instead of doing the actual assignment.

Over the last couple of months, I have been working to recreate the masterpiece of Lil' Timmy Tim's "Statistics" video as a Lego stop-motion video. Here are some side by side comparisons of the scenes:

"What up statistics class?"

Unfortunately, he received a "D" even though he created a musical masterpiece.

"Statistics" isn't the only time we've seen the persona of Lil' Timmy Tim. He's been in a video dancing to Soulja Boy, he appeared in many stage performances at LaGuardia's Rising Stars, and he performed a song called "Hell's Kitchen Bed."

Pointing To Nothing: Part 1

Something that makes Tim's video so comical is the fact that he points and motions to nothing as if something is actually there. On the Graham Norton Show, he explained that he was going to photoshop his teacher, Ms. Lawton's face to where he was pointing, but was too lazy and decided against it.

A Z-Test is a test used in statistics for determining the mean of distribution. Timmy, however, doesn't spell it out correctly. It is questionable if he learned anything in this course...

"Ms. Lawton"

Ms Lawton is the globally loved math teacher referenced in this song. Back in 2020, Timmy gave a speech at LaGuardia's "Graduate Together," at which he gave his "favorite teacher ever" one more shoutout.

Creating a stop-motion video is a great deal of work. Especially if said stop-motion is made out of Lego. Lego mini-figures do not have a great range of motion, so I decided to utilize Sticky Tac to create the unique poses that are unachievable for the average mini figure to hold on its own.

The Fabulous Hat-Turn Transition

This is the part of the video that transitions from Timmy on his own to him being surrounded by his classmates. Once the rest of the class joins in, the stop-motion became a lot harder because in every photo, every mini-figure had to be repositioned.

"I've got girls equal to the random digits table"

According to Lil' Timmy Tim, the random digits table is "like 42 bars." So Timmy is claiming to "have" 42 girls. Now that he's as famous as he is, he may need to reevaluate that number.

This video clearly embarrasses Tim and it makes sense why, but hopefully this stop-motion can help him see it in a new light and be less embarrassed. He should be proud of his song — it's got 9.8 million views on YouTube and I haven't met a single person who's seen this video and not liked it.

A hilarious ending! Timmy and his class all give Ms. Lawton a shout out, giving her lots of love. Mini-figure hands don't form hearts very well, but I tried. Lots of love to Timmy!
