People Are Sharing Pictures Of When America Was A "Proper Country," And Man, It's Got Me Longing For The Good Old Days

    Back when life was just so, so simple.

    When I was scrolling through Twitter this morning, I didn't expect to be hit right in the nostalgic feels by the "We used to be a country. A proper country" trend, but alas, here we are.

    The trend actually originated from an anti-vax perspective, with the original tweeter attempting to demonstrate how good life was without masks.

    But because the genius minds of Twitter are on team "safety first in the midst of a global pandemic," they've instead morphed the trend into a nostalgic rabbit hole, sharing their favorite memories from America's past.
