This horror movie will have you sweating. Although it is not supernatural or your normal gory horror movie, its eerie filming style and odd camera angles will make the hairs on your arm stand up. This movie portrays the fears of modern dating when the main character, Noa, is introduced to a charming, seemingly normal young man. She soon realizes his ulterior intentions as an almost rom-com takes an unusual and horrific turn.

2. Would You Rather

This movie starts off like any other horror movie. Main character, Iris, is in need of money for her sick brother. She attends a dinner party of a potential donor for money. As expected, the dinner party turns sinister as the attendees are forced to perform unspeakable acts for money. While this horror movie seems like enough by the end the hour and a half, the real plot twist occurs right at the end of the movie.

3. Intrusion

This thriller has one of the biggest plot twists I've ever seen in a horror movie. This movie starts out with a home invasion, where the main character, Meera, is skeptical of her new home and neighbors after her home is broken into. Throughout the movie, she discovers secrets within her life and begins to question some of the people closest to her, one even being her husband.

4. Oxygen

This movie starts with a woman waking up in a small box without any memories prior to that moment. Throughout the movie, she slowly discovers why she is trapped in the box and tries to make her way out; only to find out where her box is located. The suspenseful movie ticks down as she realizes she is slowly running out of air. This movie takes many turns as it is an unbelievable realization as to why she is trapped in the box. Although this is not a typical horror movie, it's not something to fall asleep to either.

5. 1BR

Malevolent Films

In this movie, the main character, Sarah, finds herself looking for a new apartment and discovering a single apartment that is the perfect community. After a few strange occurrences around her home, she soon discovers she is in a community that is deeper than an apartment complex. She must decide if she wants to become a part of the perfect community. While this movie takes many turns, the most unpredictable moment happens within the last minute of the film.

6. No Escape Room

No Escape Room is a film where a father and daughter venture on a trip to visit an escape room. As predicted by the title, they find themselves trapped in a house while the people who joined them start to disappear. Reality and imagination seemed to get mixed within this movie, as it is unclear what is happening to them until the very end.

Lionsgate

This movie begins with a seemingly random attack against a family who has just reunited after many years. While the family can't pin who is attacking them, their daughter-in-law helps them survive. This movie is gripping before and after we find out who is attacking them. The final scenes are just as intense as the first few scenes.

8. Level 16

Dark Sky Films

This movie takes place in an orphanage where young girls are awaiting their new families. Though, this orphanage is different, as the girls aren't allowed to leave the building or be exposed to sunlight. They are asked to constantly wash themselves as they don't want to be seen as "unclean." Once the girls make it up to 'Level 16,' they are promised to meet their new family. Those on 'Level 16' soon realize they are not leaving and what they are being used for is much more sinister.

9. The Perfection

The Perfection is a Netflix original horror movie that becomes more and more complex as the film goes on. It begins with a cellist who has lost her career when she became a caretaker for her mother. After her mother dies, it appears she tries to reclaim her title by destroying her predecessor. While it is hard to tell what is reality and what everyones true intentions are, it makes for an unimaginable ending.

10. Midsommar

This A24 horror movie is definitely on the gory side. Although this doesn't follow the rest of the movies with a creepy plot twist, the ending is definitely not expected. The movie starts out with a group of friends venturing to Sweden to research a festival for their dissertation. While the festival begins to go as planned, the group finds themselves as part of the sacrifice.
