You belong in JHE - you’re the life of the party!
JHE is the beating heart of the Faculty of Engineering, home to offices, student societies and spaces, classrooms, labs and the Fireball Cafe. From the cutting-edge experiential learning space in the Hatch Centre to the wind tunnel to the Robotics Lab, JHE is where it’s all happening. Plus, don’t forget about the amazing iron ring statue right out front!

John Hodgins Engineering (JHE) Building

You belong in ETB - you must love building things?
ETB is a five-storey, LEED-certified, glass-covered building that is home to start-of-the-art learning and research facilities, sustainability systems and novel architectural design. It has two elliptical classrooms, the first of their kind in North America, as well as several research institutes. The best part - if you need a refreshment… be sure to grab a smoothie at the Booster Juice!

Engineering Technology Building (ETB)

You belong in Hatch - you’re a people person! 
The Gerald Hatch Centre is a new extension to our main engineering building, JHE. This building was designed by students, for students, holding lounge & study areas, meeting rooms for clubs & teams, a student workshop and a garage for our technical vehicle teams. Also,  some of our amazing student service offices -  Academic Advising and Engineering Co-op and Career Services exist here too!

Gerald Hatch Centre for Engineering Experiential Learning

You belong in ITB - what’s your favourite programming language? 
ITB is home to the departments of Computing & Software and Electrical & Computer Engineering. Here you’ll find lecture spaces, offices, tutorial rooms and specialized labs where you’ll gain valuable hands on experience. Among them, is the Motion Simulation Lab which features virtual environments and the Drone lab where students conduct spatial location experiments and teach the drones to fly on their own. How awesome is that? In addition, be sure to take a lunch break in the wonderful garden area behind ITB.

Information Technology Building (ITB)

You belong in Thode - did someone say coffee? 
Thode Library is our Engineering & Science library on campus. We have 4 libraries on campus and you’re welcome to study in any of them but you’ll most likely end up in Thode. This library is simply the Engineering & Science library because it has resources for students in engineering and science programs (books, papers, software etc.). Did you know there are more than 135,000 books for you to access?

Thode Library

You belong in the Innovation Tower - did someone say collaboration? 
The Innovation Tower is the newest extension to the A.N. Bourns Science Building - an incredible glass-covered building with plenty of natural light. You may quickly realize that this is where you’ll find the iBioMed Design Studio - but it’s more than just interesting tools and equipment or a lab space. Instead, it’s a home for collaboration and group work; it’s truly where ideas come to life! The best part - you’ll find the most magnificent washrooms in this building!
