9 Ways To Rock Our Outdoor Cinema

With our screenings this evening, here are our tips to have a great time.

1. Bring Blankets!

Picnic, rug, tartan, superman themed throw, whatever gets you comfy and cosy.

2. Sit back and relax

Moving in is so tiring. There's so many boxes, everyone's using the lifts (if you've even got one), and you've got to get to know so many new faces. It's only the first weekend, but we all need a break. The best part of this event is that you can sit or lie down for hours and it is all perfectly acceptable.

3. Eat snacks, so many snacks

No movie can be enjoyed to their fullest extent without copious amounts of popcorn.

Bring your own, and if you run out, Imperial Cinema has their own Sweet bar, for all your sugary needs.

4. Get all the drinks

You can't have a complete array of snacks without drinks to compliment.

Joining us at the Outdoor Cinema is h-bar (our postgrad and staff bar), serving tasty cocktails for everyone throughout the event.

5. Do not sneak in alcohol

The outdoor Cinema is a dry event so no alcohol is allowed. BYOing your own is a sure fire way to get yourself kicked out and a big case of #FOMO

6. Embrace the weather

It gets deceptively cold out there, so wrap up or eat something hot.

We've even got rain ponchos incase the weather isn't so agreeable.

p.s. The Library Café is also open throughout the films to keep you warm with hot drinks and food

7. Meet some of our club reps

We teamed up with DramSoc and Imperial Cinema to bring you this event. The outdoor cinema is a sneak peek into what these guys can do as they put on shows and movies all year round. If you are into tech, movies, lighting,rigging, and generally everything cool check out their stalls at Fresher's Fair and become a member.

8. Did somebody say free?

At everyone's favourite price. The best part about Welcome Week is all of the free stuff. So chill at our Outdoor Cinema, grab all of the goodies at Freshers' Fair, and drink those teas from the Christian Union.

9. Bring your mates

Everything's better with friends. If not, grab the nearest family-sized pack of Malteasers, and enjoy it all to yourself, because nobody's judging here.
