Why You Really Need (to) VIRTUAL HAPPY HOUR QUARANTINE

Are you feeling like it might be time for some human interaction?

Why You Really Need (to) VIRTUAL HAPPY HOUR QUARANTINE

As the country closed down, and bars and restaurants all announced last call, many of you went home to a completely different experience. You may have closed the door behind you and entered a space alone, or had to begin the process of working from home, or even become work at home mom-school-teacher-guidance-counselor-entertainment extraordinaire.

The current state we’re in is overwhelming for all of us, and for some of you, it can be isolating.

You’re being told to stay home, and the simple act of being told what to do is, is enough to make you want to leave. Especially if you were that child that never did what your mom told you to do (sorry, mom).

That coupled with the news, social media debates over what the president is and is not doing, and now you’re missing all the places you love.

If you’re a gym rat you’re missing that endorphin release. If you love going to the beach, an art show or even seeing your favorite band, well shit, you’re out of luck. And if it’s commonplace for you to meet your friends at the local watering hole for a beer or a glass of wine, well that’s not going to happen either.

Go home, they say. And stay home, until you’re told it’s ok to leave.

    So what’s left to do?

Netflix and chill. Clean your closet. Pick up that book you’ve already stopped reading 12 times.

You’re bored and getting that itch for human interaction.

Don’t worry I’ve got you covered.

You don’t have to be alone.

Social isolation might mean less human touch, but it does not have to mean less human interaction. In fact, with all of the devices at our hands, we can connect with anyone, at any time.

Join me for virtual happy hours every Tuesday night @ 4:00 PST.

Come as you are in whatever you feel comfortable in. Haven’t washed your hair in five days? You’re fine. Feeling the need to get dolled up. Glam it up. This is your chance to connect as you are, and there is no reason to feel as if you need to be something you’re not.

Virtual happy hours provide you with something that most happy hours don’t do, an opportunity to connect with people outside of your current circle. You’ll not only be able to expand your network, but you’ll also receive first hand information about how this is impacting others across the country.

All of that, and you’re doing it from the comfort of your own couch.

    Can’t argue with that.

And hey, have we met? Well, it’s nice to meet you. I’m Melissa, an accountability coach who helps women chase after those dreams, that have been on the backburner for years.

I’d love to meet you in person to share a couple of laughs.
