Meet Keshi, The Asian American Artist Breaking Through The Music Scene

Casey Luong, or "Keshi" as he is widely known, is a Vietnamese-American singer, songwriter, and performer.

Luong has accredited many artists over the years including John Mayer and Frank Ocean as his musical inspirations, an explanation for his unique take on the indie/alternative genre.

Originally a nurse, Luong left his hometown of Houston for New York and decided to pursue his dreams in music in the year 2017.

At first, his participation in the music scene was through Soundcloud and YouTube, where he released EP's, did performances, and also made much enjoyed video's explaining his musical process.

Though it has not been long since his musical journey's official takeoff, many great accomplishments showcase a positive future for his career.

The Heights

In 2021, the artist accompanied indie-pop band LANY on their gg bb xx tour.

His unique voice and style, have led him to a variety of accomplishments, including signing to Island Records, as well as a song on the soundtrack for Marvel's "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings."

Currently, he has a variety of singles, a trilogy of EP's and his most recent release, his debut album "GABRIEL" under his belt, which has been greatly celebrated.
