We Need To Talk About What The Fuck Happened To Generation Y

Because we're not all just "millennials" now.

Like lots of people out there, I was born in 1985 — that makes me 30 years old.

Being born during the 1980s and early 1990s, we were told we were "Generation Y."

That, respectably, came after "Generation X."

We called ourselves "Generation Y" and identified with key aspects of it – like being tech nerds.

Also: discovering grunge music, living through the golden era of The Simpsons, and enjoying the pleasures of jawbreakers.

When OUT OF NOWHERE, someone decided to lump us together with Gen X and Z and call us ALL MILLENNIALS???

I'm sorry, but no. You can't just take away a whole group of people's collective identities a decade after the fact. We're not Generation X:
