5 Ways To Decrease Your Breakouts In A Week

    I've never been so confident

    1. Drink water....LOTS OF IT

I know you read it time and time again, but dropping soda and sweet tea for a week and loading up on water was the biggest game changer for me. This was the first step I took and I noticed a change in my skin and hair after 3 days. I always kinda thought that this step was a hoax, I mean how much could drinking a gallon of water a day really do? A lot I guess!

Tip: If you have a hard time drinking that much water, get a water bottle or cup with a straw around you FULL all day long. You'd be surprised how often you subconsciously sip on it at work, school, etc.

    2. Stop touching your face

This one is horribly difficult. Trust me, I get it. You never notice how much you touch your face while sitting at your desk or even just talking with someone. You touch SO MUCH with your hands every single day and mix that with the oils your hand produces, it just might be the perfect recipe for zits.

    3. Toss out the harsh cleansers

I know that the scrubs with the microbeads feel super fresh and clean, but those things are wrecking your skin. These super harsh cleansers are causing what they call microtears and really harming your skin. You will genuinely just get more acne using these products, don't waste the cash.

Tip: Oil cleansers are so solid for your skin! It took me a second to feel comfortable rubbing oil on my skin, rinsing it and calling it clean but I don't know if I will ever use anything else!!

    4. Everyone has to moisturize

I have extremely dry skin, so I knew I needed to moisturize. It turns out that people with oily skin need to moisturize too! When cleansing with something that's drawing so much of that oil out, you need to have something to hydrate afterward. There are so many moisturizers for people with oily skin that don't add the oil problem!

    5. Wash your pillowcases regularly

Even after implementing all of these things and experiencing such solid changes, I still had a problem with small breakouts on my left cheek. I switched my part in my hair, made sure I wasn't touching it a ton and still no progress. I finally did some deep research and realized that I sleep on my left cheek when I sleep. After reading how much builds up on our pillowcases nightly I almost felt sick. I might have been months since I lost swapped them.

I started washing them weekly (sometimes more) and I kid you not it cleared up so fast!

I think it is safe to say that not everybody has the same skin as myself, and not all of these will work for everybody. After sharing this with so many friends and seeing their progress, I hope yours will be a success story too!
