One of the few things I truly miss about living in Los Angeles are the abundance of food choices. I put together a list of my favorite spots I went to on a monthly basis while living on the westside. There are too many delicious restaurants to choose from, but I guarantee you will find a dish or drink to enjoy from my list below.

10 Must Try Spots in Santa Monica

M Street

Breakfast spot: My go to dish is the hash brown eggs Benedict with a side homemade english muffin. This restaurant is connected with another one of my favorite restaurants, Stella Barra.

Santa Monica Seafood

Dinner Spot: Santa Monica Seafood has the best selection of seafood. You can grab fresh seafood to cook and grill at home or stop in for one of their delicious dishes. (I wish this restaurant was still in walking distance of my apartment, too good!)

Casablanca

Dinner Spot: Hand made tortillas and a tequila cart. There is nothing I don't love about this restaurant. Although Casablanca has a Venice address (it is borderline Venice and Santa Monica), I am still going to put it on here.

Milo & Olive

Dinner Spot: Wood fired pizza and tapas! My favorite are the meatballs. The food is to die for - not one thing I've eaten here that I haven't devoured.

Huckleberry

Breakfast + Lunch Spot: Huckleberry is a sister restaurant of Milo & Olive, with a few other restaurants under their sleeve. Everything is made fresh, the bread, pastries, mac and cheese, and many other delicious comfort foods. Order at the counter for take out or eat in.

True Food Kitchen

Lunch Spot: For the healthy eaters, this is a go to spot. The food is delicious and it's a great restaurant to stop into when shopping while at 3rd Street Promenade.

Dinner Spot: Authentic Italian food in the heart of Santa Monica. My personal favorite is the sausage lasagna, but every dish is good here and guarantee you'll have leftovers. Also a big plus, BYOB!
