Edgar Wright's 117-minute 1960s neon fever-dream. Check it out if you're interested in a time-travelling murder mystery with an all-star cast. This movie dazzles the senses with  masterful cinematography, a killer soundtrack (no pun intended), incredible costuming, and impeccable lighting (very Euphoria Season 1, if you ask me).

Last Night in Soho

Denis Villeneuve's Dune is truly this generation's quintessential sci-fi epic (and my personal favourite movie in 2021!) This movie is truly exceptional - the star studded cast all give amazing performances, the editing is remarkable, the set design is magnificent - it's truly a brilliant movie. It's a lofty task attempting to bring the 800 page book to life - and it was perfectly executed.

Dune

The biggest Marvel experience since Avengers: Endgame (people were literally screaming when I saw it in theatres)! This movie is truly nostalgia bait meets fan service, in the best way possible. Just as you'd expect in a Marvel movie, Spider-Man: No Way Home is definitely an entertaining watch. Join Peter, MJ, and Ned as they take on some of our favourite Spider-Man villains.

Spider-Man: No Way Home

Paul Thomas Anderson returns with Licorice Pizza: a 1970s hangout movie featuring breakout performances from Alana Haim and Cooper Hoffman. Set in 1970s Los Angeles; this dreamy, adolecsent romance is a feast for the eyes, featuring backlit waterbeds, mini skirts, and appearances by HAIM. Oh, and it has a kick-butt sound track.

Licorice Pizza

Adam McKay does it again with his equally hilarious and depressing satire: Don't Look Up. This improv comedy paints a realistic picture of the challenges we're facing in the 21st century; calling attention to, and highlighting the ridiculousness of: corporate greed, willful ignorance, and social divisiveness. In true Adam McKay fashion, this movie is laugh-out-loud funny, yet brings up real questions of morality that will leave you thinking. Don't Look Up is one of the most impactful movies to come out in recent years.
