The Women's March on Washington was a movement that will go down in history as something that called together women of all walks of life to stand up for their rights as citizens under a sexist, misogynistic President.

It was the time for women all over the U.S. (and support from all over the world) to stand up for their rights as an equal gender responsible for their own decisions concerning reproductive rights, social injustices, racial discrimination, LGBTQ+ issues and so much more. They not only marched for their own rights but for the hope that their children shall not endure these same injustices.

It was really a sight to behold.

Friends and strangers alike, stood together for what they believe. They became a part of a protest that this country will not soon forget.

This march was a strong protest against an oppression that no longer has a place in this world. No matter who you are, rich or poor, male or female, black or white, Christian or Muslim, if you sit idly by as someone is being oppressed, your silence sides with the oppressor. Stand up and speak. Lend a hand. Give a hug. Send a letter. Whatever is within your means and your power, do it. Be persistent. Be beautiful. Be strong.
