This Cake Looks Like A Giant Candy Corn And Is Actually Easy To Make

A secretly easy centerpiece for your cute and crafty Halloween party. This is one of 7 cute and easy treats to make for Halloween.

Here is a step-by-step photo guide to decorating the cake. The full recipe is at the bottom of the post.

    1. Here's what you'll need to decorate the cake.

    2. First, tint one bowl of frosting yellow.

    3. And then tint a second bowl orange with red and yellow food coloring.

    4. If you want to get the colors exact, just hold a candy corn next to the frosting.

    5. Put a dab of frosting in the center of your serving plate or cake stand. Then, place three overlapping strips of parchment paper. This will keep extra frosting from smearing on your cake stand.

    6. If your cakes are domed on top, use a serrated knife to trim off the tops so they're level. Then, put one layer cut-side down on the cake stand.

    7. Use a dinner knife or an offset spatula to frost with the yellow frosting.

    8. Top with the second layer and frost only the top with the white frosting, leaving the sides exposed.

    9. Frost the sides with the orange frosting, then create an ombre effect by smudging the colors together slightly.

    10. Decorate the top with candy corns, and serve.
