20 Ways To Have A Delightful Christmas For Two

The perfect Christmas is you, your significant other, and NO ONE ELSE.

1. Decorate your tree with couple-y ornaments.

Try putting your initials on stuff, hanging photos, or painting ornaments with your faces on them. Yes, this is borderline cheesy. But guess what? NO ONE'S GONNA SEE IT BUT YOU.

6. You could also indulge in some foie gras, which might otherwise be too expensive to provide for a party.

Serve a slice of foie gras on a piece of toast. You can also choose to garnish it with fleur de sel and fresh pepper, or a dollop of fig or quince jam. (Controversial, yes. Eat it, don't eat it. It's a free country.)

7. Here's another easy appetizer (or morning snack) that you can make in two perfect portions.

This super easy dish is virtually impossible to mess up. Crack an egg into individual baking dishes or ramekins, add a bit of heavy cream or crème fraîche, salt, and pepper. (You can also add little bits of foie gras.) Bake uncovered at 400° for 6-8 minutes (depending on how runny you like your eggs). Serve with a parsley garnish, or add a small toast point to go with.

11. Queue up a selection of romantic Christmas movies.

Some suggestions: Love Actually (2003), The Holiday (2006), Bridget Jones's Diary (2001), Holiday Inn (1942), Christmas in Connecticut (1945), White Christmas (1954), It's a Wonderful Life (1946).

17. Cuddle up and listen to the audio version of David Sedaris' Santaland Diaries.

Because there's no way you could get through this without interruption at your family's house. Ahhh...peace.

19. Scrabble: yesssssss. (And other board games for two.)

Jenga? Monopoly? Twister? Cards? A puzzle?
