Ah yes, the simplicity of turning your face to the sun and feeling its warmth. At some point in your many lives you were a well-loved fluffy cat living a life of peace and tranquility. On the scenic stretch of a farm, or apple orchard, you spent your days lazily chasing mice, laying in the sun, and being pet. You still carry some of that longing of a gentle life, with simple pleasures such as dozing and feeling clean air. You sometimes wish you could go back to that, and have the simplicity of your past self, as a plump farm cat.

You belonged to the water, whether it was the sea, a lagoon, river, or lake. In your past life, you were either a mermaid signing into the foggy banks, or a pirate with the freedom of endless travel. Or maybe both at some point! The spray of salty air and rushing waves fills you with longing and connection to the world around you. You sometimes seek that same adrenaline from other things in life, but there's nothing like adventure, mysticism, and the open water. You're calmed by the rock of a hammock, the essence of a life long past.

Mysterious Merperson or adventuring Pirate

Depressing, maybe. But not all bad. At some point you were a vampire or werewolf, caged by a mask out of your control, maybe with others but always truly alone. Maybe you were stalking the long corridors of a gothic castle, or bounding through the plush earth in a freshly-rained on forest. The moon still talks to you when you are alone, and you can't shake an odd fascination with blood. Sometimes you still feel the crippling weight of being alone, but also its comfort. You are a powerful soul.

Tortured Vampire or Werewolf

You could have been a queen bee. But most likely you were a vivid adolescent living a routine, mundane life. With the angst of many lives, you still seek someone to understand you on a true level. In your past life you enjoyed many variations of the same things you feel in your own life: moments of being free, small trivial adventures, the long school days and nights where you felt on top of the world. You had many fall in love with you, but none close to your heart. You still feel misunderstood sometimes, and are worried your appearance can never give strangers the right impression of you.

In your past life, you suffered some bouts of great sadness. But only the ones any elderly person must have to tell, after a long life of experiences. You were a writer cooped up in the remnants of your childhood house, wrapped in blankets on a misty evening, recalling the memories of your past you could have changed. It's difficult to escape them, but many appreciate your writing. Now, you sometimes feel you've experienced things before, or you feel a heavy weight of time that needs to be expressed creatively. Don't worry, it's just your past life weighing on you.

Old Writer Plagued by Past

Any word you use for it: gypsy, vagabond, nomad. You were a being not defined by location or job, someone who travelled and floated to where ever the world took them. You would tell fortunes, sell treasures, sing songs in many languages, and dance under the stars. You sometimes still ache for the freedom of nature, living close to the earth and feeling connected to all cultures instead of a single life. A spiritual chameleon. Sometimes you feel like you know things you definitely shouldn't have known, and wish you could let loose with no consequence, and be free of those who judge you.
