In case YouTube celebrity Joanne the Scammer hasn't scammed you yet, beware of the scammers (cons and con artists). Scams exist to rob you of your money without a weapon. If you're feeling vulnerable and it seems like the deal is tailored to your needs, you're probably being scammed (conned).

Unlike the movie may suggest, Princess Diary transformations don't happen over a few hours. If you're supposed to be meeting MrHottieMrTallAndTan83 over coffee and you arrive and see someone with more of a ShortButStoutSir72, you've been catfished. Technology allows us to deceive more so why wouldn't we use it for online dating? Catfishing is to "lure (someone) into a relationship by means of a fictional online persona". Tip: to avoid being catfished, have your S.O. snapchat you at least once daily with the clock or coordinates filter on.

4. 4. I'm Sorry to Break it to you, but Politicians Lie

I'm really sorry that you have to find out this way, but politicians lie. A lot. However, not all lies told by presidents are all that bad. If a president tells a justified lie in times of war or told a minor lie about family history, we are likely to forgive him or her. If your president starts telling lies of policy deception or lies to cover up or omit important facts however, it might be time to make sure Big Brother isn't watching.

5. Use Your Right to Remain Silent

You should already know to always exercise your Miranda Rights, but if you don't I'm telling you to now. If you are being interrogated for a crime, say nothing to anyone besides your lawyer. Police use tactics such as minimization themes, presentation of false evidence, and error correction tricks to get you to admit to a crime. Even if you are innocent, you could be fooled into confessing to a crime you did not commit. Know your rights, and use them.
