Daisy Ridley Returned To Instagram After Leaving The Platform Six Years Ago

"Maybe it's a good thing I didn't have Insta during quarantine."

You know Daisy Ridley from the Star Wars movies — but you definitely haven't seen her on social media in a while.

Well, Daisy recently broke her six-year hiatus from social media by returning to Instagram — and her first post featured her enjoying some tea and relaxation.

"Coming out of social media hibernation refreshed, recharged, and ready for what I’m calling my 'Year of Yes,'" she wrote in the caption. "(And that’s the tea.)"

She also shared some funny re-creations she staged of classic works of art. "Trying to remember how to use this app," she wrote in the caption.

"Maybe it’s a good thing I didn’t have Insta during quarantine, or else I would have posted these. Oh, well, still posting them."

Daisy's return to social media is definitely surprising. You might recall she left Instagram in 2016 after receiving backlash for her comments supporting victims of gun violence.

In 2019, Daisy said she would never return to social media in an interview with BuzzFeed News.

"I honestly think now with social media and stuff...it's great to have freedom of expression, but I do feel like people think opinions have so much weight," she said at the time.

"I don't really think bad vibes should have the sun shone on them. Like, I don't want to read your thing!"

Well, now that Daisy's back, let's hope it's good vibes only from here on out.
