Ana De Armas Claims That Marilyn Monroe's Ghost Haunted Her During "Blonde," And It Sounds Spooky If True

    Ana made the comments during the Venice Film Festival press conference for the upcoming biopic.

    Do you believe in ghosts? Because it sure sounds like Ana De Armas does.

    The actor plays Marilyn Monroe in director Andrew Dominik's upcoming Marilyn biopic, Blonde, and during the press conference for the film's Venice Film Festival premiere (via Reuters), she claimed that Marilyn herself was present during filming — in a spectral sense, that is.

    "I truly believe that she was very close to us," she said during the interview before getting more specific: "She was with us."

    Ana claimed that Marilyn — sorry, Marilyn's ghost — was present during filming, and would make her presence felt if she didn't like what was being filmed.

    "I think she was happy," Ana explained. "She would also throw things off the wall sometimes and get mad if she didn't like something."

    "Maybe this sounds very mystical, but it is true," she added. "We all felt it." Uh, OK!

    For what it's worth, Andrew backed her claims up, kind of. "It definitely took on elements of being like a seance," he said.

    If Ana ever "sees" Marilyn's ghost again, maybe she can ask her about all the controversy around the film too. The people want to know!
