Going on the internet on any given day there's around a 35% chance I'll get mad at something. Donald Trump's being erratic again, Brangelina have called it quits, #Rikki is nothing but a pipedream (yes, it still stings). Every day there is going to be unsurprising, slightly-enraging-but-keep-scrolling news.
However, going on the internet and getting furious is something I only save for special occasions. Someone has to have really gone out of their way to mess up if I'm going to sit down at my computer and post on the internet about it, and today it looks like the targets of this disdain are none other than two choice headlines from the British press.
You see, earlier today Gigi Hadid (model and all around gorgeous person) was making her way out of a venue at Milan Fashion week when some jackass (later identified as Vitalii Sediuk, aka the biggest insult to pranks since Sam Pepper) ran up behind her, put his arms around her waist and LIFTED HER OFF THE GROUND.
Honestly you can't make this shit up. See for yourself.
So from watching this video one can conclude that a) Gigi was just minding her own business b) this idiot had absolutely no right to lay a damn finger on her and c) she reacted in the same way any normal, self-defence savvy young woman would have reacted. Right? Make sense?
Well apparently not for The Daily Mail. Quickly responding to the attack the publication came out with this ripper of an article.
And IF THAT WASN'T ENOUGH the Sun published an equally heinous headline. (Which has now been changed and rightfully so)
But was Gigi going to stand for that? Oh hell no.

and had EVERY RIGHT to defend myself. How dare that idiot thinks he has the right to man-handle a complete stranger. He ran quick tho ðð¼ðð±
And thank God, because in this day and age we can't afford to shame women for being strong. Not for website clicks, not for anything. We need to show our girls that ladies not only can but should fight back whenever they are put in a situation that makes them uncomfortable. It is our right as women to be treated like human beings.
So major kudos to you Gigi. The sheer badassery you displayed is worthy of a million praise hands, and rightfully so. May your left hook forever be as strong as your walk.
