    Anxiety? Try This!

I'll walk you through what works for me! Maybe it can work for you too!

    1. First things first

When you're feeling low and everything seems super overwhelming, try and focus. If you're at work try and let someone know you need a second, go sit down (or go somewhere you feel comfortable) and try to focus on your breathing, focus on a good memory, your favorite food, or even what you're gunna do when you get home. This will help lower your heart rate. If you find that you can't take a moment at work and you're in the middle of shit, try and focus on what you're doing in order to take your mind off what is causing you anxiety. This can work if you're at home or out in public.

    2. Water

Water is the key to life. A glass of water will clear your mind and flush out any toxins or adrenaline that could be going through your system. It can also give you a healthy refreshing jolt back to reality.

    3. Food

Sometimes even when you don't feel hungry, your body could use some nutrients. Have some soup or a sandwich or whatever you can grab that you might like. Eat it slowly!

    4. Medicine

Don't be afraid to take any doctor proscribed anxiety medication. It was given to you for a reason. If you need it and it helps you TAKE IT! Of course make sure you are using it responsibly. Do not under any circumstances take medication with alcohol or any other substances.

    5. Relax

Its not easy, but try and relax if you can. Set your living space up so that when you get home or are home you can just chill. Have your favorite movies and shows lined up, comfort food, relaxing music playlist and a comfy bed or couch! Take a nap if you need to. Sometimes your body and brain need to heal.

    6. You got this

Last but not least, you got this!! Know that even though you feel like the world is crashing down now, you will get through this and you will get better. I promise. Its not easy and screw those people who tell you to "just get over it." Because it takes strength to go through what you are feeling. You got this.
