8 Last-Minute Holiday Desserts Everyone Will Love

Make the holidays a little less stressful with these quick and easy Kroger holiday treats.

1. 5-Minute Marshmallow Cereal Trees

INGREDIENTS:

3 tablespoons cup butter

1 10-ounce bag Kroger® Mini Marshmallows

6 cups Kroger® Crispy Rice Cereal

Frosting and candies for decorating

DIRECTIONS:

Add butter and marshmallows into a microwavable bowl and microwave for 1 minute. Remove bowl and gently stir, then microwave for another 30 seconds. Stir until marshmallows are melted. (You can continue to microwave at 30-second intervals if not fully melted.)

Fold in crispy rice cereal, then evenly spread mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Once cooled, use a cookie cutter to create the trees and decorate with frosting and sprinkles!

2. Caramel Apple Bites

INGREDIENTS:

⅔ cup brown sugar

4 teaspoons cinnamon

2 packs Kroger® Flaky Crescent Dinner Rolls 8 Count

6 tablespoons butter

2 apples (cut into 16 slices)

Kroger® Caramel Dessert Topping

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 375ºF and grease a cookie sheet. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.

Arrange the crescent roll triangles on your greased cookie sheet. Melt butter and brush onto triangles (saving some melted butter for later). Sprinkle about a teaspoon of cinnamon sugar mixture onto each triangle and lightly toss apple slices in the remaining cinnamon sugar.

Place apple slices on the wider end of the triangle and roll dough around the apple. Brush the tops of each crescent roll with leftover butter and a dust of cinnamon sugar.

Bake for about 12 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown.

Allow to cool a bit, then drizzle with caramel sauce.

3. Holiday Crinkle Cookies

INGREDIENTS:

1 box Kroger® Delicious Wicked White Cake Mix

⅓ cup vegetable oil

2 eggs

Holiday sprinkles

½ cup powdered sugar

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350ºF and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix together cake mix, vegetable oil, and eggs in a large bowl until dough forms. Stir in sprinkles and chill for 15–20 minutes to make it easier to handle.

Fill a bowl with powdered sugar. Form dough into small balls and roll in powdered sugar. Place on cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake for 11 minutes, then allow to cool.

4. Jam Thumbprint Cookies

INGREDIENTS:

1 package refrigerated sugar cookie dough

Kroger® Strawberry Preserves

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven according to cookie dough packaging and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

Roll cookie dough into 1-inch balls and place onto cookie sheet about 3 inches apart. Press a “thumbprint” into the center of each cookie and fill with a teaspoon of jam.

Place in the oven and bake according to cookie dough packaging.

5. Cupcake Wreath

INGREDIENTS:

1 box Kroger® Delicious Devil's Food Cake Mix

1 16-ounce container of Kroger® Rich & Creamy Vanilla Frosting

Green and red food coloring

DIRECTIONS:

Bake cupcakes according to packaging. Allow to cool completely before frosting.

Set aside a bit of frosting and add the remaining frosting to a bowl. Stir red food coloring into the smaller bowl of frosting and green food coloring into the larger one.

Frost each cupcake with green frosting and arrange into a circle. Frost a red bow on the top of the “wreath,” and add holly berries or other fun details.

6. Chocolate Chip Candy Cane Cookies

INGREDIENTS:

1 package Kroger® Break 'N Bake Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

1 cup crushed candy canes

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven according to the directions on cookie dough package, then line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

Form cookie dough into 1-inch balls and press one side of the ball into crushed candy canes.

Place cookie dough balls candy cane side up onto baking sheet (about 2 inches apart). Bake for 12 minutes, or until cookie edges are a light golden brown.

7. Pumpkin Pie Bars

INGREDIENTS:

1 15-ounce can Kroger® 100% Pure Pumpkin

2 eggs

¾ cup sugar

2 teaspoons Kroger® Pumpkin Pie Spice

½ teaspoon salt

1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk

1 package refrigerated sugar cookie dough

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350ºF and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Mix together pumpkin puree, eggs, sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and salt. Stir in condensed milk until smooth.

Press cookie dough into greased baking dish to form a crust, then pour in pumpkin mixture.

Bake for 45–50 minutes until bars, or until filling is set. Allow to cool, then enjoy!

8. 4-Ingredient Pecan Fudge

INGREDIENTS:

2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

1 14-ounce can Kroger® Sweetened Condensed Milk

¾ cup Kroger® Pecan Chips

1 teaspoon vanilla

DIRECTIONS:

Line a square baking dish with parchment paper, then set aside.

In a microwave safe bowl, melt chocolate chips and condensed milk for 1 minute. Stir to combine, then heat for another 30 seconds and mix until smooth. Stir in pecan bits and vanilla, then pour fudge into your prepared baking dish.

Chill in fridge for about an hour, or until fudge is firm. Cut into pieces and serve!
