According to the World Health Organization, you should always wash your hands with soap and water. (I hope everyone knew that already.)

Once enough soap is lathered in your hands, rub the back of your hands and your palms.

Then, interlock your fingers, palm to palm, and rub the tops of each side of the back of your hands.

Next, you want to wash the back of your fingers on your opposing palms. (Basically, you clasp your hands together with one palm up and one palm down.)

Then you clean each thumb by rotationally rubbing them.

You end by scrubbing the tops of your fingers and your wrists.

Washing your hands for the proper length of time is also super important. You should wash them for as long as it takes to sing "Happy Birthday" TWICE.

Here is a picture breakdown made by the World Health Organization:

Oh! And if you don't have immediate access to soap and water, use alcohol-based hand rub to kill germs. That's what Kylie Jenner does.

So, now you'll know why everyone is singing "Happy Birthday" in the bathroom! Here's to staying germ-free in 2020!
