If you like TV then you must have surely heard of Stranger Things by now, Netflix's amazing sci-fi horror TV show.

You'll also be aware how brilliantly '80s it is. It's not just set in the 1980s, but it takes inspiration from many, many iconic TV shows and films from the era.

So when BuzzFeed met up with two of the talented kids from the show – Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin) and Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas) – in London, we naturally thought it would be great to get them to re-enact some iconic '80s movie scenes.

And the result was pretty damn hilarious.

    First up, 1982's E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.

Gaten and Caleb were given some basic props in a hotel room (please note my friend's arm holding a cardboard moon for dramatic effect).

So it of course started off with some hilarity.

After the giggles subsided they re-enacted the iconic flying bike scene for us. And it was PERFECT.

    Although the giggles soon returned.

    Next up, 1984's original Ghostbusters.

As the guys got ready, Caleb sang the theme tune to himself. ❤️

Then they expertly carried out the "He slimed me" scene.

This is the face of someone who's been slimed, btw.

And finally, the most iconic line of all in 1980's Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back.

Gaten was particularly excited when we showed him the scene.

Cue lots and lots and lots of lightsaber fighting.

    And this iconic line.

We failed to keep a straight face too, Caleb.

There were a few hilarious line corrections.

    And this wonderful moment.

Thank you for playing along, Gaten and Caleb!
