World renowned fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld once said, “If you ask me what I’d most like to have invented in fashion, I’d say the white shirt. For me, the white shirt is the basis for everything. Everything else comes after.”
This September, a tribute to Karl Lagerfeld and his love for the classic white shirt came to life during Paris Fashion Week. ‘The White Shirt Project’ reimagined Lagerfeld’s signature garment, and featured a number of personalized designs from some of his closest friends. This included pieces by Gigi Hadid, Kate Moss, Tommy Hilfiger, and Cara Delevingne, just to name a few.
The designs made their fabulous debut on September 25th at the Maison Karl Lagerfeld. A seven-piece collection was released the following day, and is still available for purchase exclusively at karl.com and farfetch.com. All funds generated from the collection will go directly to the Sauver la Vie charity at Paris Descartes University.
