Perhaps you haven't finished 13 Reasons Why yet, and if that is the case, GO AWAY.
If you have seen the finale, you probably have a ton of questions, like what is Mr. Porter going to do with Hannah's tapes?
Will Bryce go to jail? Where did Justin and his vodka go?
And, most importantly, what happened to Alex? Did he survive?
We found out in Episode 12 that a 17-year-old was rushed to the hospital after suffering a gunshot wound to the head...
...but we didn't find out until the last moments of the Episode 13 finale that it was Alex, and the wound was reportedly self-inflicted.
However, according to one fan theory, Alex did not shoot himself — he was shot by none other than Liberty High's most problematic resident photographer and stalker, Tyler.
And the theory, as it turns out, makes a whole lot of sense. In Episode 12 (the same episode that ended with Alex's injury), Tyler buys a gun.
And in a chilling scene in Episode 13, we see he's apparently been buying multiple guns and hiding them.
Then we see Tyler in a photo studio, going down a line of some of the show's living main characters: Bryce, Courtney, Montgomery, Sheri, Alex, Marcus, and Clay.
He pauses in front of a photo of Alex, and remembers a scene from earlier in the season when he intervened as Tyler was being bullied. Tyler yanks the photo down.
Of course, this is all just speculation — there are lots of possibilities. We also saw Justin with a gun in Episode 12.
Or maybe Alex's wound was actually self-inflicted. Either way, we'll have to wait a while to find out. Netflix did not confirm the possibility of a second season when asked for comment.
