Snatched was written by Schumer, her sister and frequent collaborator Kim Caramele, and Katie Dippold, who was also behind the script for Ghostbusters and The Heat. Schumer stars as Emily, a recently-heartbroken young woman whose boyfriend bails on their trip to South America to — of course — focus on his band.
So, Emily decides to take her mom (aka the timeless beacon of perfection Goldie Hawn) on the trip instead, and hijinks immediately ensue.
Funny hijinks, like pool-wear disagreements...
...and vagina washing.
And some more serious hijinks, like getting unexpectedly kidnapped by some shady dudes.
But no worries, the hijinks get funny again, because the ladies must buck up and escape.
And deal with problematic dudes along the way.
