    Snowmen Made From Junk Drawer Stuff

    Poker Chip Snowman Ornament

    This whimsical snowman ornament is made from a poker chip and sewing machine bobbin. The top hat is cut from a sticky back rubber wall protector.

    When I got ready to make Christmas ornaments this year I shopped my junk drawer and hubby's hardware stash. Sewing machine bobbins, Ball jar lids, and door knob hardware are just a few of the items I found.

    Christmas Teacup Ornaments

    Snowman Teacup Christmas Ornament

    I bought inexpensive teacups at the thrift store and painted them. Next I created a Christmas vignette in each cup. Adding a ribbon hanger was the last step. Find more of the teacup ornaments here.

    Vintage Christmas Card Ornaments

    Poinsettia Card Ornament

    I cut tree shapes out of vintage Christmas cards, added star toppers and a small square of wood to make these cute ornaments. If you don't have vintage cards new ones work great too. This is a fun craft to do with the kids. Find the ornament tutorial here.

    Mini Jello Mold Ornament

    Mini jello molds come in all shapes and my favorite are these bells which make perfect Christmas ornaments. They can be painted or left plain. I spray painted a design on mine using a stencil template then added ribbon and a hanger to finish the silver bell ornament. See the tutorial here.

    Snowman Ball Jar Lid Ornament

    Spray paint is my go-to DIY product. Spray painting the jar lids to make snowmen was quick and easy. Googly eyes added a touch of whimsy and a little snip of orange flower petal made the nose. See the project here
