While the Oscars were over two weeks ago, we can’t stop thinking about the red carpet fashions that graced the awards at Hollywood’s biggest night. It would not be an awards show fashion list without mentioning Lady Gaga at least once. Lately, she’s been taking a bit of inspiration from old school glamour with a modern twist. This dress is no different, appearing as a traditional gown at first but featuring an angular hip design that is just edgy enough for Hollywood’s most prestigious red carpet event. Paired with some dramatic gloves and stunning Tiffany jewelry, Lady Gaga definitely made headlines (beyond her historic performance with Bradley Cooper)

One of the first show stopping moments from the red carpet came with images of Billy Porter’s gender-defying gown. The tuxedo-ball gown was a first of its kind for many reasons, and received much praise for it’s challenging of gender norms on the red carpet and in Hollywood. While yellow might not be in the typical color scheme for February, Constance Wu looked like a glowing ray of sunshine in her custom Versace gown.
