Mark Zuckerberg Just Dragged Elon Musk Publicly About Stalled Plans For Their Physical Fight, And It's More Embarrassing For Elon Than Even The Original Idea Was

"If Elon ever gets serious...he knows how to reach me."

If you've been living under a rock — or if you just don't care to pay attention to cringy billionaire goings-on — you might not have heard that Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg appear to be interested in physically fighting each other.

It all started when Musk tweeted about how he'd be "up for a cage match if [Zuckerberg] is," and Zuck replied with this on his Instagram story:

People on both Threads and Twitter have been talking up this fight, and Elon recently claimed on Twitter that the fight would take place in Italy. He said it will be against an ancient Roman backdrop (please don't fight in the Colosseum), and "everything done will pay respect to the past and present of Italy." Okay!

According to a recent Threads post by Zuckerberg, it seems that after being the one to instigate the fight, Elon might be all talk. In a post on Threads, Zuck wrote that "Elon won't confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead."

"I think we can all agree Elon isn't serious and it's time to move on."

"I think we can all agree Elon isn't serious and it's time to move on," Zuckerberg wrote in the post. "I offered a real date. [UFC president] Dana White offered to make this a legit competition for charity. Elon won't confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead. If Elon ever gets serious about a real date and official event, he knows how to reach me. Otherwise, time to move on. I'm going to focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously," his post read in full.

People online have much to say about Zuck's reaction, and the fact that Musk is apparently unwilling to actually do the fight.

The innate desire to beat Elon Musk into a fine paste is the most human emotion Zuck has ever had https://t.co/grp53YnVfe

Here is the thing nobody realises about this fight: this is the first time Mark Zuckerberg has looked happy in over a decade. He LOVES martial arts. This is his joy. And he now gets the chance to inflict pain on Elon Musk. He has hired 50x musk bodydoubles to fight already

Also, Zuck and Elon are allegedly texting about this situation? Which is pretty funny to me.

i don't think zuck has done anything more endearing and humanizing in his entire adult life than telling elon to stop fucking around and fight him in this text. that elon seems to think zuck looks like lame here just adds to zuck's integrity. incredible to see honestly https://t.co/ZKeD1VuvXm

It may be worth mentioning that the original tweet being quoted here is from Walter Isaacson, a biographer famous for his books on people such as Steve Jobs and Benjamin Franklin. He is set to be writing an upcoming biography on Musk.

I personally don't know why Elon Musk wants to publicly and physically fight another billionaire (who's over 10 years his junior), though I do think it's embarrassing. (Why are you doing all that?)

All in all, it's interesting that Mark Zuckerberg has managed to weasel back one iota of public goodwill. If you all have any thoughts, leave them below in the comments!
