Did you know that there are cats in the world who are actual heroes? Maybe it’s because they have nine lives, or maybe they’re just naturally brave. Or, maybe it’s because cats were worshipped as Gods in ancient times and some of them still remember this somehow. Perhaps feel they need to live up to their reputations by doing amazing things. Whatever it is, let’s face it, cats are quite different to dogs and other animals. Even the famous psychologist Sigmund Freud said, ‘Time spent with cats is never wasted.’ Well, I’d love to spend some time with some of the hero cats in this list:

Pwditat the Guide Cat

After Terfel, a family dog who suffered from terrible cataracts, became completely blind, the compassionate Pwditat cat started helping him to have a better quality of life. Pwditat fed Terfel, played with him and even guided him outside so he could get some fresh air. Thanks to Pwditat, Terfel could carry on living a full life, despite his blindness.

Super Sully

An Australian man called Craig woke up one night with his cat Sully on his chest meowing feverishly in his face. Craig was so deeply asleep that he didn’t notice the meowing at first, or that his house was on fire. Thank goodness Sully did and saved Craig by waking him up so they could both get to safety, instead of just bolting to his own safety.

Tara the Protector

A little boy called Jeremy was attacked by a neighbourhood dog and his brave cat Tara went straight for the vicious animal, body-slammed it aside and stopped the attack before it became lethal. Little Jeremy was taken to the hospital where he had to have stitches, but it could have been a lot worse if Tara wasn’t brave enough to jump in.

Amazing Masha

When locals in a Russian city heard an alley cat meowing repeatedly, they assumed it was because the cat was hurt. A concerned woman went to investigate and found Masha caringly watching over a box as she was meowing and meowing. It turned out that there was an abandoned baby inside! If it wasn’t for Masha, who knows what could have happened to the poor little boy.

Doctor Rusty

A woman named Claire was feeling unwell and laid down to rest but her cat Rusty wouldn’t stop bothering her. Claire noticed that Rusty was behaving strangely and, because of this, she called an ambulance. Later the lucky lady realised that she was having a heart attack and Rusty saved her life by not allowing her to rest until she got the medical help she needed.
