Promising review: "Our soon-to-be 8-year-old son loves his fidget cube. He struggles with anxiety and mild ADHD and decided he wanted a calming box for his birthday. The fidget cube was one of the items we put in it and he plays with it all the time. He loves it." —Jennifer Moody

Promising review: "If you don't own one of these and have little ones, then buy one now! I don't leave home without at least one. They don't make a mess because it fills with water. When the page dries, you start all over again. It's great for restaurants and doctor appointments." —Ishma

Promising review: "I'm one of those people that washes plastic bags and reuses them to 1). attempt to cut back on plastic headed to the landfill, and 2). to save a little money. I purchased these silicone bags after seeing a co-worker using them. These have worked out great, and I got a lot of questions about them. I've referred other environmentally-conscious friends, and they love them too! Easy to love these things; they provide secure seals, are very durable, and are easy to clean. Perfect for lunches, snacks, or other small storage needs. I'm sure you can put them in the dishwasher, but I generally wash by hand." —Molly

Promising reviews: "I bought this to have as a travel first aid kit. I do not check bags when flying, so I had this in my carry-on and had no issues going through any security while traveling internationally. This is small and does not take up much room, and has the essentials that you need. I have had to use this, and I am happy that I had it." —acemics niv
"I haven't used anything in this kit, but I bought it as a precaution for traveling. There's nothing worse than being on vacation and needing one Band-Aid and having to buy an entire box. It is small, so it's easy to toss in your travel bag and go! I sometimes keep it in my car even when I'm not traveling. I'm one of those people who are always cutting or nicking their fingers- very convenient to have around." —Amanda A

I'm sure I'm not the first person to think of this idea (but I'll take credit for it anyway). The first time we traveled with our then-baby, we stayed in a hotel room. Small open wastebaskets + housekeeping coming by once a day = a recipe for a stinky room. Simply toss a dirty diaper into a dog poo bag, tie it, and then toss it in the bin. No stink. No mess. And, it's the nice thing to do when housekeeping does arrive to clean up. They like having to deal with your kids' dirty nappies even less than you do! The "dog poo bags for diapers" idea works for car trips, on the plane, and I'd have to guess on a boat, too (haven't taken that trip yet).

Promising review: "Love it! Love it! My 4-year-old was glued to these for a day and a half, and that meant this mommy could finish her work deliverables. My kid is not into painting, crafts, drawing, and all but loved this product so much! It’s very easy to use and creates very little mess (scratching off), and looks nice too! —Ana

Promising review: "My 5-year-old daughter had mentioned she wanted one of these for her birthday. I knew I didn’t want to spend much because she already has a tablet with games, so I figured I’d find something cheap but still entertaining. This game console has been perfect. It looks very cheap, and it is, but it has a lot of basic games for kids my daughter's age, so it kept her entertained, and the screen was like the '90s all over again (we didn’t mind, and my daughter certainly didn’t notice the 'quality of the screen'). The game is still working great. Has been tossed around a few times as well, still holding up. If you're looking for a cheap game console that you won’t care if your kid ruins..look no further." —Amazon Reviews

Promising review: "Good for when you need a little extra warmth, but not the weight of a blanket. At this size, it's more of a lap blanket for sitting on the couch. It does fold up small and will be good for traveling. I like the cape feature." —pixie trinket

Promising review: "It's hard to believe such a little tool could be so useful. I use this thing on a daily basis, from something as simple as peeling an orange to anything as complicated as basic car repair. I cannot stress enough how nice it is to always have a small screwdriver, pry tool, and bottle opener on you." —brian woolf

Promising review: "If you travel, and especially if you travel with children, you need these. To be fair, I've owned the 'name brand' versions of these, and the AmazonBasics versions work just as well. I have used them on a few trips so far and have no issues with broken zippers, tears, or seams coming apart...I use the largest size for my clothes, the medium size for my kids' clothes, the small for their sock/underwear, and the long for my socks/underwear. We have multiple sets for longer trips. Somehow TSA always chooses my bag to randomly inspect (probably because it always weighs a ton, haha), and these cubes mean my bag is still organized at the end destination. I've even started using the cubes to pack extra clothes for my kids in my day bag (my kids can get messy anywhere). One of our best purchases for travel, hands down. If you are hesitating, don't. Buy these." —JB

Promising review: "I love, love, love this purchase! It is nice to just throw this in the undercarriage of your stroller, and that’s all I really need when going to the mall or a quick run into the store. I keep a couple of diapers in here and enough wipes for small trips. Fits in my backpack/purse, too so I don’t have to lug around a giant diaper bag. Also super easy to clean/wipe because it has a plastic inlay! This is just a terrific all-in-one!" —MZ

Promising review: "I was in need of easy, long-lasting entertainment for my preschooler on a couple of long flights. A few mommy blogs recommended this. Initially, it was a little too complex for my daughter to enjoy fully, unassisted. With subsequent use on a road trip, she really had a lot of fun with it, though did still require a playmate. My favorite moment was when she realized she could make her own bracelets and anklets. That gave me some solid alone time (in 5- to 15-minute increments, on different occasions), which was much appreciated." —Liz

Promising review: "I travel extensively for work and have tried numerous battery packs over the years — tiny, thin credit card-sized ones (never seem to last and charged slowly and often barely one device) to heavier larger ones with cords. This is the Goldilocks of chargers. Small enough that it is not a hassle to carry and strong enough to charge multiple devices quickly. And you can charge the devices using the mag charger or a cable. The mag charger is strong, and so it stays attached even in my purse. In addition, I love the feature that allows you to use the charger as a stand as well. Stop looking for the best travel charger. You’ve found it." —Mary Ann

It took a couple of family trips, but my wife finally found the ideal travel bag for our baby and toddler. This Marimekko Iso Milla is like a black hole or portal to a different dimension because no matter how much kid stuff we crammed in there, it always seemed like there was room for more! Its material is soft and lightweight, making it very malleable and easy to fit under the seat on a plane (just mush it in there). Also, the bag is super easy to clean (there will be spillage, there's always spillage). This is now our go-to bag for day trips or visits to family and friends. Wish we had found this years ago!
